Most traffic matters have mandatory disqualification periods of between 1 month to 5 years. In Central Queensland, if you lose your licence, it may cause extreme hardship to you and your family by depriving you of the means of earning an income. With limited Public Transport options in Central Queensland, you cannot let a mistake ruin your career or future.
Rowan King and Samantha Legrady of RK Law can make an Application to the Court for a “Restricted Licence”, “Work Licence” or a “Section 87” Licence. As an applicant for a restricted licence, you must prove a number of factors, by lodging complex paperwork, and affidavits in support of the Application. These documents must be lodged and served on the Prosecutors (the lawyers for the Police) within a strict time frame. Having performed hundreds of these applications as a Defence Lawyer and former Prosecutor, Rowan King will fight to ensure you receive the best outcome with your Traffic case, and for a fixed fee.
Having formerly been employed as a Prosecutor, Rowan King – RK Law’s Principal Lawyer, understands that Traffic Prosecutions are generally conducted “on the papers” with the case against the Defendant being proven by the Police producing certificates to the Court.
Rockhampton’s Traffic Defence Lawyers Rowan King and Samantha Legrady understand the process and procedures required for the Police to prove their case. We can assist you by reviewing the evidence, writing submissions to the Queensland Police to drop the charges, or take your matter to trial, without the costs and expenses of a Barrister.
Evading Police or “Failing to Stop” is a serious offence, with mandatory terms of imprisonment and a minimum licence disqualification of 2 years. Rowan King has experience in “Evasion” offences, and understands whilst the evidence may be against you, these charges can be difficult to stick. A quick call to RK Law could mean the difference between a small fine, and the minimum 50 days imprisonment which must be served in a correctional centre.
